The TCGray BJA Medal Lecture was given by Professor Paul Myles (centre) from Monash University, Melbourne. This was an excellent lecture given by someone clearly very inquisitive about outcomes after surgery and how they can be objectively assessed.

He is seen with Professor Jonathan Thompson representing the BJA (left) and LSA President Dr Frank Potter. Those with medals look pretty pleased with themselves although Prof Thompson appears somewhat put out that he hasn't got one himself!
